As a Lead Gameplay Systems Programmer, you will be in a leadership role on a small and focused team, playing a critical role in driving current and future projects. You will be responsible for driving the creation of core game systems and collaborating on the shared technology foundation to deliver performant, scalable experiences. You will have opportunities to work on a variety of initiatives, get hands-on with cutting-edge technologies, and work with talented internal and external teams, all while building impactful experiences from concept to delivery.In this role, you willLead development for a project or initiative, championing both technical excellence and player experienceGuide, mentor, and help build a highly effective engineering teamWork closely with art and design to build core gameplay systems and implement development best practicesOptimize runtime performance, memory usage and developer workflowsCollaborate with Unreal Engine teams to contribute to ongoing feature developmentOptimize and fix bugs in existing systemsWrite robust, maintainable codeWhat we're looking forExperience as a leader in an engineering role, with demonstrated ability to lead a team effectivelySignificant experience developing games or other interactive real-time technology applicationsA keen analytical mind with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside of the boxProficiency in C++ with a deep understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, and toolsThe ability to empathize with users and to balance the inherent tradeoffs in developing with the user in mindStrong teamwork and cross-discipline collaboration skills, including the ability to deliver and respond to constructive feedbackSelf-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independentlyCreativity in problem-solving and the ability to think outside of the established solutions.EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE
We pay 100% for benefits except for PMI (for dependents).
