Lead Software Engineer - Market Data and Execution TechnologyA global Quantitative Hedge Fund is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their global front office technology department in a new greenfield project to revolutionize their execution and market data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing multiple scalable, high performing market data feeds, execution platforms and order management systems across multiple asset classes.Responsibilities:Lead the architecture and design of the next generation execution and market data systems, delivering a scalable high-throughput, low-latency platform.Act as the product owner on the development of new in-house market data feed handlers and related systems.Highly optimized market access & market data solutions, focused on reliable, deterministic event streams to power quantitative research.Partner with traders, quants and other senior stakeholders to understand the most important problems to guide how and where they can innovate.Requirements:Years of advanced experience working with modern C++ on bare metal operating system (C++17 as a minimum) and Python as a secondary language.Years of experience working at a asset manager, systematic broker, market maker, HFT or a top tier investment bank.Strong understanding of TCP, UDP, IPV4 and related hardware/softwareProven experience building distributed systems on a global basis and writing scalable multi-threaded
software/applications. Strong understanding of real-time market data feeds and FIX protocol applications from an algorithmic trading perspective.Great architecture, design and implementation skills with a strong understanding of distributed, concurrent, or parallel systems.Excellent opportunity with a high-performing trading team rewarding package on offer with high growth career progression.
