Lead Data Scientist
Location: Tyne & Wear
Office requirements: Hybrid / 2-3 days per week
Salary: £85,000 - £100,000
Day to Day of the role:
Lead and nurture a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Oversee the integration of data science projects into business processes to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
Engage with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver impactful data-driven insights.
Collaborate with other teams to make data science capabilities accessible across the organisation.
Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data requirements for projects are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in leading a data science team and managing complex projects.
Expertise in machine learning, statistics, data management, and relevant technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL, AWS SageMaker, Apache Airflow, Dbt, AWS Kinesis).
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to a non-technical audience.
Knowledge of industry standards like CRISP-DM.
Experience in iGaming or online betting is a plus but not essential.
