If you’re up for the challenge of shaping the future of finance, let’s get in touch.What you’ll be doingLeading and mentoring backend engineers, providing guidance and direction on best practices and technical decisionsParticipating in performance reviews and building growth plans for engineersDesigning, documenting, and implementing solutions, using Domain-Driven Design, CQRS/ES, and event-driven architecture patterns on a global scaleCollaborating with cross-functional teams to improve engineering processes and raising a bar for quality and efficiencyBuilding mobile APIs and developing micro services to evolve our architecturePerfecting a number of systems that our business depend on, like risk management, fraud detection, payment processing, etc.Focusing mostly on greenfield development and improvement of existing systemsWhat you'll needFluency with Java8+ years experience in back-end developmentA bachelor's degree (or above) in computer science, maths, physics, or a similar area of studyA proven track record of contributing to process improvements, as well as mentoring and training team membersAn ambitious and results-driven personalityExcellent communication and organisational skillsWorking experience with Domain-Driven Design principles, practices, and patternsWorking experience with scalable distributed systemsKnowledge of different architectural patternsKnowledge of DevOps principles and practicesFluency in EnglishNice to haveExperience with Kotlin and ScalaExperience within financeExperience within a start-up or scale-upExperience within a product-focused environmentBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
