You can play a vital role in this.The Role:As Lead Architect, you will be at the heart of crafting and promoting a Council-wide technology strategy. One that aligns with our overarching goals while meeting the specific needs of each service. From strategic planning to developing the IT roadmap and solving challenges, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction that we take as we work to introduce new technologies and services.You will join a relatively new team and work closely with technology consultants, strategic business relationship managers and data specialists. You will set standards and ensure we build a useable toolkit, using appropriate architect tools to document and communicate our strategic intent. Your expertise help ensure that we adopt a more modern stack, bringing about lasting improvements to the services we provide.This is a hands-on role, in which you will champion enterprise architecture across departments. Solutions will span services ranging from housing, to health, to finance and beyond. Recognised for your subject matter expertise, you will engage with people across and beyond our Council to help us build a cohesive tech ecosystem that supports growth, adaptability and innovation.You will bring to the role extensive knowledge and experience as an architect in complex enterprise environments. Ideally, you will have worked in a range of industries or sectors. You will demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of technologies, with deep enthusiasm for using emerging tech – balanced by an appreciation of what is practically possible.Your passion for this mission will be evident in your communication style – from explaining highly technical topics to diverse stakeholders, to guiding a multi-disciplinary technology team, to curating, communicating and driving a shared technology vision to business and tech teams.
