We have a Band 5 registered nurse vacancy at ouroutstanding CQC ratedAssessment and Treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield. Our Assessment and Treatment units support adults with a learning disability, autism, adhd and complex physical health issues. Admissions are aimed to be short-term for individuals requiring a period of intensive assessment and treatment with the development of robust transition plans to support discharge to future placements? You will work closely alongside a range of specialist professionals across differing locations in order to achieve the best person-centred outcomes for a patients admission and future. Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHSFoundation Trust are committed to career development and the development of evidenced based practice through research and actively encourage and support staff in these areas.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be expected to work within a multi professional framework, being named nurse for adult service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. The post holder will work within a hierarchical structure, under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager. As a Staff Nurse you will be required to take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to the Clinical Support Workers who are assigned to you. The successful candidate will be encouraged to excel within their nursing role and we offer a number of development opportunities both internally through our education department and externally though a range of colleges and universities we are associated with. There is also opportunity for further training and development as part of career development, full preceptorship will be given to those who are newly qualified. The ideal candidates must have strong and positive values, be enthusiastic, have good communication skills and able to build effective working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team. As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5 hour shifts will include both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00).About usCWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
