To support our ambitious growth plans and long-term ownership of energy assets, we are expanding our team.
The Development Portfolio Team is responsible for OEGEN's renewable energy projects that are in the development phase. The team leads the management of a globally diverse and dynamic portfolio of renewable energy developers, pipelines and individual assets. The team ensures that the development activities align with the objectives of each investment case and the broader goals of OEGEN’s funds. The team is pivotal in cultivating strong relationships with developers, funds, and other key stakeholders, thereby facilitating the successful implementation of OEGEN’s investment strategies in the project development sector.
The Last Mile Development Manager is responsible for delivering the OEGEN development pipeline to the start of construction. They are responsible for risk identification and mitigation to ensure that the projects are commercially viable.
What you'll do Development Management: Directly manage individual projects through the last mile development phase (including overseeing planning condition discharge, grid liaison, contracting).Controlling the risk management process and programme delivery. Procurement: Set the contracting strategy for projects.Tender and negotiate all supply, EPC and O&M contracts in accordance with OEGEN requirements. Pipeline Quality Oversight: Work closely with development partners to ensure the quality of the projects within the pipeline and support in optimisations.Assess the quality / skill sets / risk appetite and judgement of our development partners.Improve the success rates and timelines for projects reaching the start of construction Relationship Management: Cultivate strong and productive relationships with developers, funds, and other stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of objectives.What you'll needExtensive experience in developing renewable energy projects with a particular emphasis on the later stages of development.Strong project management and technical background.Superior communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging and influencing a diverse stakeholder group.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or related fields.Senior management experience in the renewable energy or related sectors.Proficient in project management, and data and reporting.Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.Why you'll love it hereWondering what the salary for this role is?
