The role will be based in Belfast and will work with OCO’s German office across all lines of business. The purpose of the role is to assist economic development agencies who are seeking to attract companies into their region and companies who are looking to export products into new markets.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake quantitative and qualitative (often desk-based) research from a range of sourcesSet up stake holder interviews in support of client projects – via email and telephone callsUndertake data analysis in excel, using basic excel functions and pivot tablesSupport all business areas within OCO Global to develop PowerPoint presentations and provide other graphical information to contribute to client deliverablesResearching client offer and developing succinct outreach strategiesResearching and compiling target long lists of potential investors / target customers for outreach based on client offerMonitoring investment and trade signals for latest information on expanding companiesOutreaching companies via telephone and email to gauge interest and qualification of this interest in investment and trade opportunities.Setting of meetings with companies with an interest and potential capability to invest in the client offer or interested in business partnerships with private sector clients.Arranging calls on behalf of investment and trade consultants (Project Manager)Any other duties as required.Third level degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Economics, Geography (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).1-2 years’ experience in a business environment1 years’ experience in a research role, preferably in an international business, Trade and/or FDI context.Fluent in French/German and English (both written and verbal)Right to live work in the UKStrong research and analytical skillsUp to date knowledge of and ability to locate key sources of informationAbility to process large volumes of dataStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDisplays initiative in taking greater responsibility without being askedDemonstrated ability to problem solveFluent in another languagePrevious experience working in a similar roleUnderstanding of FDI processesCommunicationAnalysis and ResearchQuality of WorkFlexibilityPlanning & OrganisationLeadershipWhat we offerAnnual Bonus22 days paid annual leave rising 25 daysPension SchemeLife assurancePrivate Health CareWorking as part of an international teamOpportunity to travelClosing DateIf you are interested in applying for this position please complete the attached monitoring form and send it with a covering letter and CV outlining your suitability for the role to ##### by 29 February 2024OCO Global is an Equal Opportunities Employer
