Land Transaction Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in England

Responsibilities
Responsible for negotiation of all legal agreements to secure identified land for survey works, construction & operations activities including land for electrical infrastructure, habitat management and access. Includes securing any additional land requirements as a result of required infrastructure changes.
Exercise the compulsory acquisition rights granted as part of the DCO as required at the construction phase.
Manage external support for land acquisition and compulsory acquisition process, including real estate lawyers, CPO lawyers and external land agents.
Responsible for novation of all relevant land agreements to the OFTO.
Work closely with other land transaction manager, Onshore Consent Managers and Project Development Manager to provide land transaction advice that might affect onshore scheme definition/routing etc in order to minimise project risk.
Work in collaboration with the agricultural liaison officers.
Negotiate land and crossing agreements to maintain a project's commercial position and minimise overall project risk.
Responsible for ongoing relationship management with landowners throughout the development phase, through construction and subsequently operations.
Liaises with National Grid (Electricity and Gas), Network Rail, UKPN, Cadent Gas, The Crown Estate, utility providers, Highways departments & local authorities.
Travel to site required for meetings with landowners and land agents. Attendance at public meetings as required by the project.
Requirements
Experienced manager (several years) with demonstrable experience in negotiating legal agreements for the acquisition of land preferably with first-hand experience of the CPO process.
Demonstrable experience in management of people, budgets, programmes, risks and report writing.
A thorough understanding of land transaction agreements and the consenting process and associated issues.
Experience of renewable energy, utility, or offshore industries advantageous, particularly: electrical infrastructure issues associated with an offshore wind farm or linear development.
Experience in working on projects and in teams where interfaces between a range of technical disciplines exist.
