Job DescriptionLand Manager£50,000 - £80,000SalisburyAn exciting new opportunity to work with a top house builder based in Salisbury across the Wessex region. After a successful 2023 they are now looking to expand the team with the addition of a Land Manager.The role would focus on identifying, negotiating and acquiring new sites within the Wessex Region, you would report into the Land Director but work closely with the other land managers and planning team in secure new sites and managing them through the development pipeline.You will have a portable book of contacts in the residential development agency world and have experience of purchasing residential land. You will work closely with the internal and external consultants to successful manage the projects through the development lifecycle.You will be 5+ years post-graduation and have worked for either a house builder, housing association or development consultancy.ResponsibilitiesManage and work within a team of land buyers to achieve business goals.Source and acquire land in London, working closely with land agents and land owners.Overseeing and coordinating current projects post-acquisition and working closely with the technical and planning team to deliver to the siteLiaising with the inhouse new business team to further develop partnerships with housing associations.Working with the town planners to keep up to date and abreast of new policies in the operating area.Key RequirementsDegree-qualified and ideal property-relatedNatural born deal maker doing 1-3 land deals a year consistently.Currently working for either a privately owned house builder, national residential developer or high-profile investorDetailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process.A strong network of contacts in the land agency world.Determined, hungry and ambitious.Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team.
