Laboratory Technician

Job SummaryWorking as a Laboratory Technician within the Manufacturing Team, you will be responsible for qPCR kit and reagent manufacture. This role will contribute to the efficient running of our production laboratories and operations department. The role will involve manufacturing products daily according to our ISO9001 quality management system and managing stock levels.The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, have attention to detail and excellent communication and organisational skills.Main duties andresponsibilities Work
collaboratively within a team to produce in-house sub-assemblies
accurately and efficiently to plan
Contribute
to the general day to day running of the laboratory; involves
decontamination, housekeeping, daily checks in accordance with schedule
and day to day administration
Ensure
high levels of stock accuracy through regular cycle counts adhering to
good stock control practices. Including maintaining stock levels in the
labs and cataloguing/storing stock correctly
Fully
and accurately complete all production documentation according to good
record keeping standards
Manufacture
kits to meet production plan, according to relevant manufacturing
instructions (SOP/BMR/BW)
Work
according to our ISO9001 quality system
Maintain
accurate manufacturing records in our Sage manufacturing system Ensure
strict adherence to all relevant work instructions, Quality procedures,
H&S policies and where relevant GLP
Keep
accurate laboratory notes/records
Maintain
training in relevant primary manufacturing areas across a wide product
range.
Any
other reasonable tasks as required by Manufacturing Management Team Qualifications and experience requireExcellent attention to detailPrevious production/laboratory experience essentialA solid foundation in science subjects such as biology or chemistry is desirablePrevious experience of using Sage 200 desirableOptimistic, helpful and have a proactive attitude with a desire to meet production targets and get tasks completed according to schedule is essentialShow pride in work and areas of responsibilityAbility to work independently
