This role will be a full-time

permanent position based in brand-new facility at the customer site - The Discovery Centre, Bio-Medical Campus in Cambridge. Next to an attractive salary, we offer multiple benefits such as pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and

Working hours
Monday to Thursday, 8:30 - 17:00 and Friday, 8:30 – 16:00
The team
You'll
work alongside other Laboratory Technicians, who are supporting laboratory operations. You will belong to our business department Lab and Product
ion
Services, which supports
leading
pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry
.
What
we're
looking for
Education:
GCSE Maths & English
(or equivalent)
and a
n interest
in
science
Experience:
Full training will be given,
previou
s
experience in pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment desirable but no
t
essential
Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions
Computer Literate
Process driven and
high level
of attention to detail
s
How
you'll
thrive and create an impact
Preventative maintenance, cleaning & documentation of several laboratory instruments
Regularly check
ing
chemicals and reagent expiry dates and arrange disposal of any out-of-date material
Maintain
ing
and coordinat
ing
laboratory consumable inventories
(stock management)
Laboratory housekeeping,
supervising,
and keeping communal areas clean and tidy, waste management and specialist equipment performance checks
Provid
ing
glassware and plastics collection, washing and, autoclaving/ sterilisation services (steam, dry or filtration) for the scientists to use within the laboratorie
s
