There will be a requirement to cover bank holidays and have flexibility in working hours to assist with business demands.This position will be joining a fast paced Microbiology Food Testing department, with the following main duties:Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysisSample preparation in line with company protocolsMicrobiological analysis of food, feed and environmental samples in line with company protocolsTraining and operation of relevant equipmentGeneral housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contaminationAccurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality systemEffective communication with all employeesReport any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory SupervisorHealth and Safety procedures are adhered to within the laboratoryQualificationsEducated to degree level/HND in a relevant Science subject.A Level, or equivalent qualification in Science.Laboratory workexperience.Computer literate, with experience of MS Office programmes.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Able to work under pressure, in a bust fast paced environment.Additional InformationAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
