Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Lab Manager to join a chemicals company based in Leamington Spa on a full time permanent basis.The Company: Our client is a leading recycling specialist company offering their service to polymer industries.Location: The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Birmingham, and Coventry.Your duties and responsibilities will involve:
Production of certification of analysis for all sales.
Stock control of lab consumables.
Keeping calibration records for the instruments up to date and coordinating service contracts.
Following and establishing SSOW procedures & help to maintain KPI’s.
Attending management meetings.
Communicating and co-ordinating with production and other departments.
Taking reports from QC supervisors and Feedstock Team Leader.
Training of new staff.
Managing HR procedures such as disciplinaries, PIPs, return to work interviews.
Your Background: The successful candidate will have:
Background in ISO 17025 analytical lab standard.
Managerial experience - essential.
Chemical tests using instruments such as X-ray Fluoresce (XRF) and Gas chromatography – mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
Physical testing of samples using several different pieces of equipment.
Some wet chemistry techniques e.g. liquid/liquid extraction, simple wet chemistry tests (pH, EC).
