Make clear commitments and follow through.The Lab manager reporting to the Site Head of Paris is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Lab manager will carry out a wide range of operations activities and executive support for the Paris site. Responsibilities
General laboratory management, including administration of reagent databases and experimental databases, instrument maintenance and, space organization of the of laboratory and the office.
Technical support for the R&D project
( Cellular & Molecular biology).Work with the procurement team to ensure that procurement needs of the French team are fulfilled. Interface between engineers and users (building maintenance, scientific instrument maintenance) and European finance and other support teams.
Train new group members in using the lab's equipment, spaces, databases, software resources etc. as well as in
technologies/techniques
commonly used in the lab ( Western Blot, ELISA, qPCR, protein/DNA/RNA extraction ).
Test new tools, reagents and equipment; establish and improve experimental protocols.
Work in close collaboration with AskBio Inc. and AskBio Europe (UK).
Organize all the shipments of the lab as well as office operations and supplies.
Plan events and meetings including organizing venues, coordinating external and internal attendees.
Support with and organize company social activities and events.
Manage ad-hoc inquiries and coordinate travel arrangements. Required Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in biology required; Master’s is preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role required.
Must be proactive, energetic, self-motivated and self-directed.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and collaborators.
Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written).
