Lab Assistant- East Grinstead

Our client, a growing organisation within the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking multiple Lab Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and play a vital role in supporting the laboratory's operations.

As a Lab Assistant, you will work 38 hours per week on a rotating shift basis between 7 am and 5 pm. The schedule will be divided into three weeks: Week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), Week 2 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), and Week 3 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

Responsibilities:

  • Support the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment, including pumps, glassware, and other items.
  • Clean pumps thoroughly, ensuring that they are in optimal condition for use.
  • Organise and store glassware in their designated areas after cleaning.
  • Prepare glassware and equipment for the following day's experiments, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Regularly check readings on equipment to ensure they are functioning properly, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • No previous experience required.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Must be comfortable with heavy lifting.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required.
