KS2 Teaching Assistant

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Tradewind Manchester is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving school community.

In this rewarding role, you will provide 1:1 support to a student with SEMH requirements, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting their academic and emotional well-being.

You will:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities tailored to the student's needs.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a calm and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Build a strong rapport with the student, fostering their confidence and self-esteem.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children who have SEMH needs.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management techniques.
• Is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to inclusion.
• Holds a current DBS on the Update Service.
