Knitwear Designer

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a commercial Knitwear Designer to join this leading knitwear supplier to a variety of high street retailers and supermarkets across womenswear. You will be working alongside an established team and reporting into the Head of Design.
They are looking for a team player with trend led handwriting and a passion for knitwear product. Previous experience in a similar role as well as strong CAD skills is required for this role.
Based in vibrant Central Manchester offices, with a lovely team!
Main responsibilities will include:
Identify the latest must-have seasonal trends across womenswear knitwear to help design commercial fashion forward knitwear.
Research fashion trends, producing trend boards, catwalks, and sketches.
Solid understanding of knitwear garment construction and technicalities.
Produce detailed CADS & tech packs and liaise with suppliers & factories confidently.
Ability to translate initial ideas & concepts into commercial designs.
Attend customer meetings and work to set briefs.
Manage Sampling and development of critical path.
Person specification:
2 years minimum commercial knitwear design experience with a retailer or supplier.
Excellent CAD and Illustrator skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment & have a pro-active approach.
