Head of KS3 / Science Teacher who is QTS qualified with highly successful teaching experience in science or an allied subject and experience of leading a core subject is required for Avanti Fields School, part of Avanti Schools Trust, based in Leicester, Leicestershire, East Midlands.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of KS3 / Science Teacher who is QTS qualified with highly successful teaching experience in science or an allied subject and experience of leading a core subject.
As the Head of KS3 / Science Teacher you will have exceptional subject knowledge to continue to inspire, shape and steer the ream and curriculum in the right direction.
Working as the Head of KS3 / Science Teacher you will be an innovative and strategic thinker with vision and ideas.
You will lead by example and will believe in research-informed strategies to accelerate progress and maximise students’ outcomes.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Head of KS3 / Science Teacher will include:
Lead and manage the phase team to provide high-quality learning for all children within a secure, happy and caring environment
Liaise effectively with the senior leadership team (SLT) to ensure consistency of approach in teaching and learning and the highest quality of education for all its pupils
Contribute to, and promote, the vision, culture and ethos of the school and Trust
Coordinate the work within Key Stage (KS) supporting and advising as appropriate and to write and update termly an annual improvement plan
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or allied subject
Proven highly successful teaching experience in specific phase
Experience of leading a core-subject
Good communication skills at all levels
