KS1 Teaching Assistant (Part Time, Temporary)

£415 - £435 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

This ‘Good’ primary school, based in Sunderland are looking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 1 class on a part time basis, where some pupils have low attainment. This will be a role where the KS1 Teaching Assistant will be leading booster intervention sessions in phonics, to help children catch-up and make progress in preparation for the Year 1 phonics check. This part time Teaching Assistant role is long term and potentially permanent. 

Requirements:

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with low attainment
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• Experience of Year 1 Phonics check
