£45,000 + £6k Car allowance + 5% Commission

The Advocate Group are representing a well-established food business with a billion pound parent company who are looking to expand the commercial team. With a dedication to quality products and innovation, we are searching for a skilled Key Account Manager.

This presents an exciting chance to contribute to a company with a diverse selection of products ethos and a commitment to achieving success. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established National Account Manager or a National Account Executive on the up.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and develop sustainable customer relations across all key functions within your account and deliver budgeted P&L.


  • Own and manage the customer relationship; manage the strategic and operational relationship with relevant internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Own and manage the customer relationship; drive consultative selling approach through knowledge of category, shopper and consumer, utilising the communication skills training provided.
  • Deliver the budgeted customer P&L as per KPIs.
  • Build and deliver a JBP and Trading Plan that delivers against company and the customer’s objectives.
  • Proactively execute the Retail Brand Strategy for our brands within your customer(s), incl. pricing and promotions and retail activation plan.
  • Constantly review process and procedure within the role and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Be an active and vocal member of the Sales team.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the short and long-term objectives of the business to achieve constantly increasing operational output and standards.

About You:


  • FMCG Sales experience in account management
  • P&L responsibility
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong at working independently
  • High levels of resilience and robustness – resounding from setbacks and adversity when faced with difficult situations.
