Reference: KBS-160-23Education and Research (E&R)Kent Business School is seeking to appoint a Professor of Marketing to join the Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and International Business. We welcome applications from senior academics with a proven and sustained track record of publication in internationally and world-leading rated journals as well as experience in leading externally funded research programmes and/or centres. Although all cognate areas of Marketing will be considered, we are particularly interested in applicants with research expertise in areas that the Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and International Business is looking to grow.While the post will be based at Canterbury, the successful candidate may be expected to take up teaching and other responsibilities at the University’s other campuses, study centres and off campus for the delivery of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, and international MSc programmes.As Professor you will:provide leadership and contribute to the management of the School; offer guidance, support and mentoring to junior members of staff.engage in high-quality and impactful research at acceptable levels of volume and excellence.provide academic leadership in the design and delivery of innovative and high-quality teaching programmes.To be successful in this role, you will have:specialism and research reputation in any area of marketing but specialist knowledge in any of the following areas would be desirable: New Product Marketing, New Product Development, Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing, the Digital Consumer, Services Marketing, Brand Management, Marketing Analyticswillingness to contribute to a cohesive and supportive corporate culture and a collegiate work environmentKent Business School is an international Business School, with a global reputation for delivering research and teaching excellence.
