Junior Trader Salary £24,500.00 - £27,500.00 DOE Plus Excellent BenefitsLocation - CheltenhamMy client has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Trader to join their established team achieving the commercial terms targets and marketing execution with agreed an supplier portfolio. Here the ideal candidate will take ownership for full product life cycle within designated categories to achieve range and financial targets, while aligning to the business needs and customer demand.Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier relationship and category management for agreed supplier portfolioEffective delivery and tracking of supplier commercial revenues.Source new products in line with the internal business strategy and external customer retentionPrice management, Reviews, Competitor Analysis, Market updates, Commodity Tracking, reportingSupport the business with slow moving and short dated products by working to create an exit strategyMaintain a broad understanding of owned categories stock holding and risk at all timesKeep up to date with product regulatory compliance, suggest actions maintaining complianceFacilitate solutions to industry challenges and changes across relevant categoriesEnsure accuracy of supplier billing and minimise queries from FinanceRegular product benchmarking via product comparison processCompetitor analysis and market updates across product range, execution and customer offering Design, Delivery, Coordination at Key Company, Buying Group, Supplier, Customer, and Industry events including trade shows, seminars, insights and other events relevant to product portfolio and owned categoriesLiaise closely with Marketing to ensure Trading strategy dovetails with Channel & Consumer insightMaximise potential margins through product swaps and suggested alternatives through developingand nurturing effective relationships with the Sales TeamPresent proactive plans and Category insight to internal and external customers of all levelsProvide clear management of expectations and definition of timescales to internal customersLiaise with the Supply Chain team to ensure continuity of supplyShare best practice, supplier and range information with Head Office and Member counterpartsEssential Skills And QualificationsExperience co-ordinating, and adding value to company, industry and supplier events including exhibitions, insights and networkingA strong understanding of key metrics that impact the commercial revenues including Overider, Marketing income & Product RebatesAn understanding of the Foodservice marketplace, FMCG Product knowledge ideallyExperience managing multiple internal and external stakeholdersExperience Managing the Product Lifecycle; List, Launch, Review, De-listExperience delivering presentations with excellent communication, and relationship building skillsStrong Numeracy skills and GCSE grade C(4) or equivalent as a minimumProficient in MS Office, Excel and ideally with experience using Office 365, Teams and SharepointExcellent networking skillsWillingness to Travel and the flexibility to accommodate planned overnight stays for eventsBenefitsIf you are studying towards your Qualifications, you will be supported.33 Days of annual leave.Life Assurance, Savings Scheme.Training & Development Opportunities.Discounted Staff Purchases.Auto-enrolment Pension Scheme.This is an amazing opportunity to join a strong established company.Please contact Daniel at i2i Recruitment for IMMEDIATE consideration!If you have not heard from us within 5 working days, please assume that you have been unsuccessful in this instance. i2i Recruitment Ltd is a leading independent employment agency providing staffing solutions across specialist areas.
