Junior Technical Systems Support Engineer

Due to company growth, a great new permanent opportunity has arisen for a Junior level Systems Support Engineer to join a successful and fast-growing Energy and Data company.
Working in the Head Office located in Surrey, you will be part of a smaller friendly team, but part of much wider IT Team. The ideal candidate will have an IT/Computing Degree, completed a College Course in IT/Computing or some kind or IT/Computing apprenticeship. You could possible already have a small amount of experience in a similar role or looking to gain your first position in IT.
The role is to provide technical assistance to internal users directly and external commercial customers around queries on the bespoke systems and CRM. Some of the duties are to include; setting up of new customer users online on the website and systems, general maintenance of the systems that are mainly written in SQL (some are still running on Oracle).
Searching for bugs or glitches on the system, then reporting those via a logging system and working with the development team to resolve the problem. General maintenance and housekeeping of the systems and supporting groups across the organisation.

The role offers hybrid working of two days in the office and three days working from home per week. The office has great access to public transport and there is plenty of local parking available.
Skills/experience and attributes:
* Ideally degree/college educated within IT/Computing. Or will look a completed IT/Computing apprenticeship
* Confident in Excel, V-Look up’s and ideally experience of pivot tables
* Good experience of Outlook and Word
* Good telephone manner the ability to write professional emails
* SQL knowledge and skills would be beneficial
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* A technical and analytical mind
* Strong attention to details and enjoy analysing data and information
* Enjoy working as part of a team but also happy to work under own initiative
* Confident to ask questions when required
