Junior Technical Engineer

Our client is experiencing a period of growth and are looking for a Junior Technical Engineer to add to their growing engineering team.  They are seeking a great team player who can be part of a friendly team who design and deliver complex projects within the construction industry.  They are based on the outskirts of Marlow and your role will be based onsite working Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:30pm and Friday 8am to 4:30pm.  The salary for this Junior Technical Engineer role is up to £30,000 dependant on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop technical specification by preparing detailed technical submissions including all necessary drawings and calculations.


• Build and retain customer relationships


• Manage your own projects from tender to completion.


• Respond to technical queries from clients.


• Read technical drawings provided by architect, façade and structural engineers drawings, liaising directly with respective parties to develop and detail efficient solutions meeting the client’s requirements.


• Carry out designs according to the current British standards and Eurocodes.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.


• Develop technical specification by preparing detailed technical submissions including all necessary drawings and calculations.


• Support the Technical Director in achieving the company strategies outlaid in the quarterly companywide meetings.

Skills Required:

• BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural engineer


• Fantastic professional communication skills


• Experience in the design of steel and concrete in accordance with Eurocodes/British standards


• Exceptional attention to detail.


• Excellent project management skills


• Strong ability to problem solve


• Experience in AutoCAD 2D or similar drawing packages


• Good understanding of site construction techniques and building design principles
