We are looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at the Square in Clifton, Bristol, with a £250 signing on bonus on offer to the successful candidate! This varied role will offer the opportunity to take on a senior role within a fine dining kitchen team, working with not only a fantastic a la carte menu, but also bespoke events menus for boutique weddings and private dining events.

The Square is Bristol's premier private members' club for the media and arts industries. Comprising a sumptuous lower deck members' bar, fine dining restaurant, events space and stunning outdoor garden space this is a venue that delivers on many fronts!

The successful candidate will be involved in running service, developing our more junior chefs and contributing menu ideas alongside our Head and Sous Chef. We can accommodate an ASAP start in this role, but are equally happy to wait for those who need to work notice elsewhere.

Key details of the Junior Sous Chef Position:

Hours: 45 hours per week

Salary: £31,254 per annum package. This comprises £13.10 per hour plus approx. £600 per annum service charge bonus. Overtime is paid if worked!

Signing on bonus: In addition to the above package, you will receive a £250 signing on bonus on completion of a successful probation period.

About our ideal Junior Sous Chef:

The ideal candidate will have a real flair for cooking, a sense of fun, excellent leadership skills, a winning personality and a strong work ethic. As Junior Sous Chef you will be the right-hand person to our Head Chef and Sous Chef, responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen in their absence. You will be involved in menu development by giving menu input on a regular basis, including special event menus. Some experience in fine dining and working with fresh ingredients is essential.

This would be a great opportunity for an existing Junior Sous Chef who is looking to build upon previous experience and knowledge in a thriving and successful restaurant, or a Chef de Partie / Senior Chef de Partie who is looking for their next step up in the kitchen. You will be joining a passionate and highly skilled team who work hard to produce the Square's exquisite menu but have fun while doing so!
