To do this we employ big-thinkers and can-doers that shareour purpose #uniquelyexperiannJob DescriptionnWe've got a reallyexciting opening in our Legal team for a junior Solicitor to join usher at Experian.nYou will be Legal advisor to the business on legaland regulatory matters (including product development, regulatoryprojects, Data Protection, Open Banking and FCA requirements). Youwill have the opportunity to support as the lead relationship lawyerworking independently for the relevant designated Experian businessunits and as a crucial part of the wider team supporting on biggerprojects. As such, you will play akey role in a forward looking, dynamic and evolving legaldepartment.nWhat youll need to bring to the role & ExperiannExperienceworking as a lawyer either in-house or in private practice. Preferablywith some experience working in a regulated environment- financialservices would be beneficial but not essential.nBasic knowledge of theregulatory framework including FCA permissions, FCA Handbook and Ruleswould be advantageous.nA background which has provided you withexposure to any of the following: financial services, payments,regulated products, consumer duty, price comparison websites, openbanking, AML/KYC, competition law and/ or contracts work would all bedesirable to highlight your transferable skills but in-depth knowledgeof all of these areas is not essential.nExposure to and understandingof GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018 governance and its practicalimplications would be highly advantageous.nWork those matters - Whatyoull be doingnProviding clear and insightful legal advice in apragmatic and commercial manner for a number of different productareas on new and existing product sets.nSupporting the launch orupdate of products at pace and within risk appetite.nCollaboratingwith legal and compliance colleagues to find ways to empower the firstline of defence to get compliant products into client's hands atpace.nMonitoring and advising on the regulatory directions and actionsof the FCA and relevant legislatures.nAdvising the business on dataprotection matters.nProactively spotting and provide preliminaryadvice on associated legal issues and how to minimise legal risk(including, for example, privacy, product, competition law issues,intellectual property, discrimination & fairness, risks of legalproceedings, cross border issues).nChampioning the use of innovativetechnology including AI and ML both within the business and morespecifically within an in-house legal department.nWhere necessary, forstrategic or specialist knowledge reasons, obtaining and managingexternal legal advice within agreed budgets.nMore about younYou willhave strong communication skills with the ability to present complexlegal advice in an easy to understand and digestible manner, tailoringyour communications to your audience.nYou will be motivated byinteresting, fun and challenging work, working equally well bothindependently and as part of a team.nYou will becomfortable providingadvice in a fast-paced environment, proactively working alongside thebusiness to come up with innovative and practical solutions to newproblems.nEvaluating and mitigating the risks (legal, regulatory,reputational and conduct) will be second nature to you.nAdditionalInformationnOur uniqueness is that we truly celebrate yours.Experian's culture and people are key differentiators.
