Junior SOC Analyst (Shifts required)

Role Overview: Reporting to the Head of Information Assurance, our client is seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to be an integral part of their cybersecurity team. From learning the ropes of monitoring networks to assisting in crafting innovative security solutions, this role offers the perfect gateway into the cybersecuirty world.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dive into the Shifts: As a Junior SOC Analyst, you'll dive headfirst into the heart of our operations, undertaking daily Security Operations and Monitoring activities across various shifts. Whether it's morning, noon, or night, your vigilance ensures our systems remain fortified against cyber threats.

2. Learn and Respond: When security incidents arise, you'll have the opportunity to learn and respond swiftly and effectively as part of the Cybersecurity Incident Response team.

3. Collaborate and Grow: Security is a team sport, and you'll have the chance to collaborate with seasoned professionals to tackle security challenges head-on. From contributing ideas in security meetings to providing hands-on support, every day brings new opportunities for growth.

4. Training: In addition to your daily duties, get ready for some exciting ad-hoc projects and challenges. Our client has a huge focus on training and encourages continous learning offering generous training budgets to get you the right qualifications you require.

Desired Qualifications / Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar.
• We will consider previous industry experience in place of a degree

Experience & Skills:

1. A passion for cybersecurity and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
3. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
4. Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows is a plus.
5. Eagerness to obtain relevant certifications and advance in the field of cybersecurity.
