We are seeking to appoint a Head of Junior School Maths to lead a vibrant and inspirational Maths department from January 2025 (or earlier). The vacancy will suit an excellent and creative mathematician with a passion for teaching very able pupils. The successful applicant will oversee Maths in the Junior School (years 3-6) and teach across years 5-8 (into the Senior School).Person SpecificationWe seek someone with:a genuine interest in Maths as an academic discipline (essential);a vision for creating an outstanding Maths curriculum for years 3-6 (essential);a good university degree in Mathematics or a related subject (essential);an ability to lead and work well with others (essential);prior experience of running a Maths department in a junior or preparatory school environment (desirable).As part of the application process, shortlisted candidates will be required to teach a lesson; details will be provided prior to interview.Closing date: Thursday 13 th
