Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior PLC Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on our flagship project, where you will play a key role in programming and developing control systems using Beckhoff PLCs. You will be working onsite at our South Coast facility in Hampshire, contributing to the advancement of green technology in the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and program control systems using Structured Text on Beckhoff PLCs.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to design, implement, and test control system solutions.
  • Integrate and configure communication protocols such as Profibus.
  • Troubleshoot and debug control system issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in the development of project documentation, including functional specifications and user manuals.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of control systems onsite.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding and experience with PLC programming, specifically in Structured Text.
  • Familiarity with Beckhoff PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Profibus and other communication protocols.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
