With a primary focus on fashion accessories, we are now seeking a talented outdoor clothing designer to establish ELLIKER within the outdoor clothing market.
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Outdoor Clothing Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of clothing fitting, and experience in overseeing the design and development process. This role involves working closely with our creative director, liaising with clothing factories, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our seasonal sample productions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development:
Assist in creating innovative and functional designs for our outdoor clothing lines.
Collaborate with the creative director to develop concepts and create detailed technical sketches.
Tech pack building.
Stay updated with the latest trends in outdoor and gorpcore fashion and incorporate them into designs.
Work closely with the product development and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
Competitive trend research.
Clothing Fitting and Adjustments:
Conduct fitting sessions to ensure garments meet our high standards of fit and comfort.
Make necessary adjustments to patterns and prototypes based on fitting feedback.
Development Oversight:
Liaise with clothing factories to manage the production of seasonal samples.
Ensure samples are produced on time and meet our quality standards.
Resolve any issues that arise during the development process.
Oversee product photography.
Key product descriptions data input.
Design Overflow
Assist creative director with day to day tasks.
Assist sales and marketing team with day to day tasks.
Outdoor accessories and lifestyle product design and development.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proven experience, 1-3 years in clothing design, preferably in outdoor or activewear.
Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fitting techniques.
Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign and CAD, preferably Clo3ed or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
A passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of the needs of outdoor enthusiasts.
Understanding of the Gorpcore trend and community needs.
