Junior LNG Trading Operator

Job DescriptionOur client is a global LNG trading company; part of an international group based in Central London.The successful candidate will have current worked based experience and knowledge of the LNG industry, with experience in Shipping, Cargo Operations, Analytics, Contracts or similar, with a genuine and driven passion towards a career in LNG Commercial Operations. As LNG Commercial Operator your primary role will be to:Implement contractual delivery for LNG operations for long-term and short-term cargoes during Atlantic time zone.Support, review, and negotiate Key Term Sheet/Confirmation Notice/Master SPA and any new spot, mid-term commercial structures.PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Active involvement in day-to-day LNG cargo operations covering the company’s Atlantic portfolio together with Singapore team to ensure all contractual obligations are timely implemented, including but not limited to nominations for ships, delivery window, quantity, and ports; issuance of documentary instruction; surveyor appointment and monitoring of cargo quality).Liaise and manage internal and external stakeholders, counterparties, and service providers on a regular basis to ensure smooth operations.Manage, negotiate, and finalize the execution arrangement of commercial contracts such as Confidential Agreements, Master Agreements (MSPA), and Confirmation Notice etc.Review, analyse and summarize contract risk for spot/short-term transaction and propose terms to mitigate risks, or to maximize contractual flexibility in the Key Term Sheet (KTS).Pro-actively close out any operational related disputes with external and internal counterparts.The principal duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time as necessary to reflect the overall company strategy and team structure.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years’ work-based experience in LNG industry; LNG cargo operations, LNG shipping operations, Contracts or Analysis. Candidates with relevant working experience in LNG business value chain are encouraged to apply.Possess strong oral and written communication skills, good analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.A team player while being reliable on resolving issues independently; meticulous in managing tasks; a fast learner; and showing respect for the diversity of cultures among internal and external counterparties.
