Our client is a professional insolvency firm based in Wheathampstead.A small, friendly team work in a professional business environment. You will be responsible for working on a mixed portfolio of cases comprising mostly of corporate appointments (liquidations & administrations) with some bankruptcies and IVAs.Your primary responsibilities as a trainee Junior Insolvency Administrator will be to work through cases from cradle to grave and ensure all of the statutory reports and tasks are completed to deadline and that you ensure total compliance across all of your cases.You will work closely with the senior administrators and case managers and will be responsible for the progression of their cases.Working to statutory deadlines you must be able to prioritise, work independently without direct instruction and as part of a team, assisting others with caseloads when required.You will work closely with managers and directors, with the opportunity to accompany them to client meetings in order to gain additional experience and assist with pre-appointment matters.You will be trained internally and enrolled for external training for introduction to insolvency courses, as required.Example of Duties:• Full life-cycle management of cases; mainly commercial but some personal.• Open physical and electronic files.• Collate all appropriate documentation from clients including bank statements, financial accounts, debtors’ list, factoring information, access to software, cheque books, payroll records, fixed asset register, HR information, lease agreements, property titles, Trademarks.• Prepare & circulate statutory reports for stakeholders adhering to statutory deadlines, attend and present at meetings.• Dealing with creditor queries.• Provide redundancy notices for issue.• Issue letters to factoring company/aged debtors.• Arrange for independent valuation for fixed assets (Peacocks etc) to be sent to client and MJ.• Liaise with HMRC.• Prepare forms / documents for filing with the Registrar of Companies.• Prepare Directors’ Trading Histories.• Prepare Estimated Statements of Affairs (summary of assets & liabilities)• Issue details regarding statutory notices in newspapers.• Attend client premises as required or with partner to address staff.• Deal with enquiries from potential buyers of freeholds and plant, referring as required to auctioneers/valuers.• Review (admit/reject/requesting supporting documentation) creditor / employee claims for distribution of funds in cases.• Issue payments within strict guidelines.• Collation of MJ costs.Essential requirements:?
