Job PurposeThe Junior Finance Business Partner (JFBP) will be responsible for providing support to the divisional management team of FBPs and Senior FBPs. This will require you support the preparation of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) outputs. You will need to help package and present opportunities that will have a positive impact on value creation for the division.You will report into the Divisional Finance Director and work closely with the team of divisional FBPs to support plans in key operational and strategic areas. This will involve interpreting finance performance, supporting key business planning, trade-offs, and opportunities, and understanding a dynamic industry, competitors, and economic context.About Group FinanceIn joining RWS's Finance team you will be a critical part of supporting a listed world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. As part of the overall RWS business strategy we are making a significant investment in upgrading our financial systems and processes to deliver enhanced reporting and control, more efficient processing enabling great value through enhanced business partnering and decision support.Job OverviewKey ResponsibilitiesSupport divisional FBP team in creating FP&A outputs including business plans, project and investment appraisals using divisional dataFacilitate investigations into areas of opportunity for strategic recommendationsUnderstand and translate financial information into tangible targets or actions, assessing financial implications of each actionAssist divisional FBP team in preparing relevant papers for senior level meetings with stakeholders across the businessEnsure adherence to accounting principles, internal controls, and applicable legislative and regulatory requirementsContribute to the development and management of divisional strategic plans, budgets, and forecastsConduct variance analysis on financial performance against divisional planLeverage business insights, scenario modelling and analysis to support development of financial models and drive commercial decision-making and complex problem-solvingCreate visually compelling stories for executive and leadership presentationsEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and internal policies and proceduresPrepare accurate and timely financial statements and reportsEnsure a robust control environment within divisional finance, adhering to internal controls and regulatory requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve existing financial processesRaise feedback for potential opportunities to optimise and standardise methods and processesEnsure in-scope business partnering processes are documented and stored on the assigned shared locationSkills & ExperienceFP&A or finance business partnering experience preferable.Professional certified qualification (CFA/CPA/CA/AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or global equivalent)Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related disciplineStrong English language skillsPractical knowledge in business analysis, analysing large data sets and information managementExperience in data modelling, and simplifying complex data into compelling, clear, and actionable insights using Excel and reporting toolsStrong MS Excel skills with a proven aptitude to interpret customer and financial dataWorking knowledge of core finance systems, ERP and related specialty functional systems, frameworks, and functionalityViable understanding of finance business processes, accounting policies, and statutory accounting principles to ensure compliant FBP activitiesWorking digital literacy with financial analysis and modelling skillsAbility to work in a fast-moving environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of workLife at RWSAt RWS, we're here for one purpose: unlocking global understanding.As a unique, world-leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services, we remove the barriers to communication to make global connection possible.
