Our client is looking for charismatic, driven, mature graduates looking to enhance their business development skills in a fast-growing and dynamic commercial finance brokerage firm(NB: They are not seeking those who would be suited to an Analyst or Accounting position)Why should you apply?In your first fee-earning year as a qualified Finance Broker, you could earn up to £60k in Year One, £85k – 100k in Year Two, £100 – 120k+ in Year Three, and £200k+ in Year 5!The on-target earnings are achievable and realistic as the majority of the companies ‘employees exceed their yearly targets.The opportunity to receive a promotion to the sales division within your first 18 – 24 months of employment (if your targets are met).There are clear progression pathways and the firm generously incentivises the achievement of KPIs.A high percentage of the firms’ employees become homeowners within their first 3 years of employment.This role is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your sales abilities in a leading UK commercial finance brokerage.As you progress through your career, you will receive great employee perks, such as a gym membership, health insurance, and a company car allowanceWho is the company?The firm has arranged almost £1 billion in funding for over 12,000 companies since 2007.They have received numerous industry awards and accreditations from lenders such as The NACFB and Aldermore Bank.Last year, the firm originated an astonishing quarter of a billion pounds in finance for UK SME’s.Their impressive multi-million pound lending book has exponentially grown by over 400% in the last 12 months.What is the role?Your first 18 months may look like this:Months 0 – 3: Outbound calling prospecting for new business either through supplying qualified leads or direct calling potential customers, learning the ropes, understanding lenders, financial terms and the sales process.Months 3 – 6: Developing your sales techniques, understanding customers, gathering information for finance agreements.Months 6 – 9: Further development of your sales skills, learning to progress small agreements, drafting credit papers and making finance proposals, liaison with customers, lenders and equipment suppliers. Requesting invoices from suppliers and KYC documents from customers.Months 9 – 18: Dependant upon your ability and progress you will be trained to close your own sales agreements with customers ready for progression to a fee-earning role.You will receive 1-on-1 mentorship from a Sales Director or Executive Finance Broker.You will develop and maintain ongoing customer, supplier and client relationships. As you progress, you will be given more responsibility to manage deal flows and pipelines on your own account.You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial products available to their customers. The transaction process covers a wide range from initial contact to underwriting with regulatory standards.Who is best suited to this role?If you possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and you are thinking of going into stock broking, trading or sales.Someone with emotional intelligence that is also charismatic and resilient.Someone who is self-motivated and driven to hit and surpass targets with commercial awareness and an interest in finance or sales.A naturally competitive, driven and money-motivated graduate individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.Strong academic background with a 2:1+ qualification in any degree.We’d advise NOT applying if:You are looking for an analyst position and you’re not hard-working or competitive.You do not want to learn how to work well under pressure and prefer not to work alongside senior members of a team.You do not want to develop your entrepreneurial spirit and learn how to liaise and build long-lasting relationships with a range of clients.
