JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a newly qualified Mechanical engineer to work in the Rebuild Centre building, overhauling, and servicing packaging machinery systems to meet our customers’ needs and requirements. Candidates must have at least level 3 qualification in Manufacturing/ Mechanical Engineering. Also have a keen interest in modern day technology, with a view to developing long-term skills, including electrical wiring, PLC / Electrical programming. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience in / of the following:
• Mechanical components and systems.
• Problem solving: Ability to visualise a problem or situation and think logically to resolve it.
• Performing maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
• Fault finding, utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals to identify root causes accurately.
• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and utilisation of Packaging Machinery Systems.
• The repair and replacement of defective parts as necessary, following OEM guidelines and safety procedures.
• Keeping accurate records; including parts used, labour hours, and updating technical library / history.
• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical support and assistance.
• Collaborating with other team members and departments.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and product developments to enhance skills and knowledge. The candidate should have a pleasant and helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

• IT Literate.
• Level 3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to work responsibly, with or without direct supervision.
• Contribute positively to the overall morale of team members.
• Contribute to the day-to-day management of Health and Safety in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policy, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Familiar with MS Word and Excel office software.
• Familiar Engineering Design software – SolidWorks and AutoCad.
• Ability to read / interpret technical Engineering drawings

• Organising – must be able to coordinate resources to achieve goals.
• Planning – a key requirement for efficient execution of all types of projects
