DOMA is on the hunt for a talented
Junior Editor
to join our growing post house.
You will be joining the core in-house team, working across commercials, social content, music videos, and in-house projects. Our work environment is fast, creative, and always striving to expand on briefs and explore new ideas.
DOMA started in 2023 as a full-service post house representing talent within the Edit and Colour space. Since then we have amassed a growing list of clients and collaborators and continue expanding our offering throughout 2024.
As a
Junior Editor , you will work closely with directors, clients, producers, post assistants, and our repped talent across various projects. Your time will be spent working on your own commercial projects, working directly with Directors and Clients at times remotely, as well as sit-in sessions at the studio. The role will also require you to support the general upkeep of file management and project archiving and assist our repped talent where necessary, including ingesting, project setup, selects, and social cut-downs.
This position requires you to work from the office in Bermondsey, London.
REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate has a keen sense of storytelling, an eye for style, and loves to get playful when the project is right. You are an editor through and through, able to work across linear narratives to more creative forms of filmmaking and social content. You will be an excellent collaborator and eager to learn and develop on the job. Our team is small and relies on multi-skilled individuals.
What we’d like to see:
A passion for filmmaking and storytelling
Multi-skilled editor across post-production
3+ years in the industry (employed or freelance)
Strong skills in editing social and content-focused films.
Self-motivated and able to take initiative
Strong communication and organisational skills
Comfortable working in a team as well as autonomously
Can collaborate with directors/producers and contribute new ideas
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:
A strong crafter of engaging narratives.
At home editing a variety of content including commercials, brand videos, music promos, corporate videos & documentaries.
Online editing.
Always pushing to develop your skills within editing and post
Invested in learning new techniques and technology including AI
Able to work well under pressure and in tight turnaround projects.
Able to handle different delivery specs for social, online, and broadcast.
Basic sound mixing.
Motion graphics skills is a plus.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A high-level Premiere Pro user is an absolute must.
Confident understanding of workflow and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of creating work for TikTok and other social media platforms.
Being comfortable with After Effects CC
Basic knowledge of DaVinci and motion graphics.
An eye for design.
Happy to work on corporate branded content along with more creatively demanding projects.
Good working knowledge with the Adobe suite.
