We are working with an International high-end brand, known in their sector for being industry leaders who provide the best products on the market. They are searching for a Junior Demand Planner to join their Supply Chain team and be a real key performer within the business.

Job Role
Supporting the growth of our clients business, this role specifically focusses on demand and supply planning for Ecom promotions. Working closely with the wider Supply Chain and Digital teams, this role will optimise inventory investment, advise on production requirements, and pro-actively communicate business intelligence in order to achieve relevant customer service goals.

Responsibilities
• Regularly review and manage the inventory level and product availability of a category’s promotional or exclusive products within group guidelines and targets, creating local parameters to meet the operational needs of the supply chain for both planned current and future stock requirements
• In collaboration with the Demand and Supply Planner, regular analysis of demand forecast accuracy and sales strength for promotional lines to swiftly identify any issues
• Key KPIs include: fill rate/service level, forecast accuracy and stock coverage
• Driving adhoc analysis on stocks and monitoring the overall performance with consideration for regular and adhoc stock
• Responsible for advising on the adjustment of the replenishment plan by defining priorities and necessary action, both in case of shortage and over stocks
• Identify future customer service risk and work with cross-functional teams to quantify and reduce impact to the customer. Play a key role with the Customer Services Manager in cases of fair share
• Define and recommend necessary action with regards to safety stock adjustments, dead stock depreciation and destruction and transfer proposals and manage system updates
• Ensure detailed follow up of the replenishment plan for regular products, product launches, promotions, discontinued stock and any other bespoke activity, communicating the reliability of inventory to all relevant key stakeholders within the Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales both at a local and global level
• Track all movement of stock shipments for on time delivery to warehouse and customer, analysing KPI data to monitor performance against relevant agreed lead times
• Work in collaboration with the wider Supply and Demand planning team on product and stock issues to ensure forecasting decisions are informed by supply status
• Work in collaboration with distribution on corrective actions for faulty products, informing key stakeholders of stock availability and managing the credit process
• Ensure consistency of inventory policy through the proposal of informed adjustments to DRP settings, interacting regularly with central and regional supply chain on stock sizing parameters and safety stock parameters
• Prepare, develop and defend the proposals for inventory review at the appropriate regular meetings with key stakeholders and preparing the supporting documentation necessary for the Supply and Demand Planning Manager to propose implementation of corrective actions in case of deviation results
• Maintain an awareness of future development in industry best practice, proactively propose the development of automated systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of demand planning activities

Personal Profile
• 1-2 years’ in the industry or similar setting with end to end supply chain understanding
• APICS or other forecasting certification preferred
• Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
• Knowledge of SAP/APO/M3/DMP/JDE, Manugistics or Oracle Demand Planning or other software packages including Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel
• Proven capability to analyse and synthesise data
• Strong negotiation, decision making and presentation skills
• Highly organised with strong time-management and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact in a cross functional environment with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
