About the role
We are seeking someone who is happy in automating spreadsheets and able to provide data driven insights for the client management and sales team to help with new product, new processes and pricing strategies.
As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing insurance data, identifying trends and patterns focussing on factors such as increasing costs in relation to materials, labour and other expenses around Property and Motor claims. We are seeking someone who is happy in automating spreadsheets and able to provide data driven insights to the sales team to help with pricing strategies.
This opportunity would be perfect for individuals who are already working with MI/Data or in finance/accountancy background who would be looking to work closely with numbers with extensive Microsoft Excel skills.
How you'll make an impact
Analyse insurance claims data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop and maintain automated spreadsheets to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
Collaborate with the claims team to understand data requirements and provide insights to improve claims management efficiency.
Prepare and present reports, charts, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively.
Assist in the development and implementation of data quality control measures.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insurance claims management.
About you
Experience is in using Microsoft Excel to an advanced level, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation techniques and knowledge of data schemas would be advantageous.
Experience in automating spreadsheets using VBA or other scripting languages.
Knowledge of insurance claims processes and terminology would be an advantage but not is essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
A desire to dive deeper into numbers and statistics and build patterns to influence decision making.
A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field
