Junior Buyer.

Location
: Birchwood, Warrington
Role:
Full-Time, Permanent (open to reduced hours)
Working Hours
: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday - 8:00am - 3:30pm - flexible
Salary
: Dependent on candidate experience
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain positive and long-term relationships with our client's valued suppliers.
Conduct thorough research to identify new suppliers and make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager.
Obtain quotes for materials requested by the Sales department in line with customer RFQ.
Evaluate quotes, negotiate prices and delivery terms to secure the best price and quality.
Raise Purchase Orders and maintain accurate records in the Oracle MRP/ERP system.
Track order progress to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of items and quantities.
Update and maintain internal databases and ERP system with records of orders, deliveries, invoices, contracts, and supplier approvals.
Identify and ensure compliance with quality standards for all products.
Communicate any supply chain delays and risks to key stakeholders.
Monitor inventory levels, including participating in stock take planning.
Provide support to the Production team with efficient office operations.
Generate inter-company purchase orders for raw materials and consumables.
Take responsibility for factory MROs and office consumables.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
Customer-focused with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong administration skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access.
Experience with Oracle MRP/ERP systems would be beneficial.
