JUNIOR BUYER – FULL-TIME, WASHINGTON, TYNE AND WEAR

Working at the heart of the END. business in our buying team, the successful candidate will support the Buyer in nurturing the current offer and developing the business within the Menswear department.
We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of emerging trends, continuously improving our offer to provide our customers with a best-in-class shopping experience, both online and in our stores. In addition to becoming a key point of contact for our suppliers, the successful candidate will have a genuine interest in Menswear and be able to identify new brands and opportunities for END.
As a Junior Buyer you will work with the department Buyer to acquire and onboard new brands, place orders, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with the wider business to ensure that our portfolio lands successfully in a way that both excites & engages the END. Consumer.
What you’ll be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
Become a point of
contact on a day-to-day basis for a selected portfolio of Menswear brands
Attend buying
appointments and buying trips
Support the order
process alongside the Buyer, ensuring all product orders are placed in a
timely manner
Work closely with
the Merchandising team to generate reports and monitor performance
Provide key
support to the Buying Admin team
Work closely with
the Buyer to research, source and acquire new brands and collections to
grow and develop the END. portfolio
With guidance
from the Buyer, work with suppliers to increase margins and improve terms
Work to KPIs
around sell through and margin
Manage new supplier
introductions, ensuring that new brands are aware of contacts within the
business
Ensure the wider
business is aware of department priorities
Work closely with
END.’s suppliers to find opportunities to develop and grow the business
What you’ll be able to demonstrate:
Skills and experience
Experience in a
buying role is preferred
Highly analytical,
with strong attention to detail
Commercially
minded, with the ability to support commercial decisions
Advanced
knowledge of Excel and Microsoft products
Highly
professional, with outstanding communication and networking skills
Demonstration of
good judgement and strong decision-making skills
Strong interest
and enthusiasm for the industry and product in general
Ability to show
initiative and work independently
Organised and
efficient
