My Client, an educational organisation , is looking to appoint a Junior Buyer to further strengthen its procurement department.  



as the Junior Buyer your main responsibilities and duties will include maintaining a strong working relationships with our suppliers and reviewing purchasing agreements with suppliers and keeping open lines of communications with those suppliers



You will also need to stay up-to-date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with suppliers when it is beneficial to the company and compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact suppliers when there are discrepancies



As the Junior Buyer you will ideally have a knowledge of procurement processes, policies and proceduresalthough not essential  but you must have a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines



You will need be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel possess good time management and organizational skills, good mathematical knowledge excellent communication and negotiation skills and have completed a degree in the last 2 years or have relevant work experience.

The role is for an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract
