We are currently searching for a Junior Buyer / Purchaser specialising in Engineering products and parts to support the customer experience purchasing items to aid new designs, new builds and repairs.
�

Junior Buyer / Purchasing - Engineering - Key skills:�

• Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key.
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Positive work ethic.
• Engineering Degree or similar experience is advantageous, but not essential.
• Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for either Manufacturing/ Food/ Confectionery / Pharmaceutical /Agricultural / Paint/Bakery or Building industries.
• 3 year industry experience in purchasing or buying ideally from engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Exposure to Epicore software is complementary but not essential.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.
• Balance many tasks at the same time.
• Attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and manner.
• Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship.
• Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.�

Junior Buyer / Purchasing - Engineering - Role:�

• Support and improve the purchasing activities for the business. Making sure availability and continuity of products at the best possible price.
• Strong negotiation.
• Cross Functionally support teams with estimating for products.
• Cost reporting. Identifying trends.
• Source prospective suppliers and build strong relationships with current suppliers.
• Work to production schedules.
• Manage efficient stock levels.
