Junior Business Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Business Systems Engineer to join our IT Services team at Cambridge Consultants. You will play a key part in supporting business applications during a period of application transformation ensuring that the solutions meet business needs.The roleAs a Junior Business Systems Engineer, you’ll join the Enterprise Applications team and will be responsible for the technical implementation of various business applications.You’ll join a team of 7, within a wider IT Services department of 30, to support the ever-changing needs of the business. You’ll also work closely with key stakeholders to develop relationships with a huge variety of colleagues from across our business units.You’ll be given a diverse workload from the get-go with the opportunity to work on the full lifecycle of implementing new business systems as well as maintaining and supporting existing business systems. This role is likely to evolve, and we would like you to steer it in the direction that suits you.ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved in and responsible for the following tasks:Administering, monitoring and improving business applications including both on-premise and Cloud solutionsWorking with stakeholders to implement and configure new business applications to meet business needs and user experience expectationsCollaborating closely with external parties for new implementations or where system support is outsourcedAutomating system configuration and processes where appropriateDeveloping technical solutions to solve application integration challengesReviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business applicationsTroubleshooting issues with applications and servicesMaintaining technical documentationProviding technical support for applications and services to end-usersRequirementsTo be successful in this position you will:Have an understanding of installing, configuring, maintaining and integrating business applicationsHave excellent troubleshooting skills in complex environmentsHave knowledge of scripting principlesBe capable of learning new systems with minimal supervisionBe self-driven with a willingness to get things doneHave excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBe innovative, creative and forward thinkingHave an appreciation of secure by design principlesCambridge Consultants is committed to developing its employees' careers and has a flexible policy for individual capabilities and preferences.
