Job Description
Legal and General Retail Mortgage Services team are currently hiring two junior Agile Software Testers on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This role will see you working closely with the Lead Tester to carry out test cases to identify any potential bugs to raise to the development team to fix.
You will also be learning the construction and compilation of test scripts to understand some of the considerations taken in testing as you build up knowledge of the area utilising tools such as Jira, Azure Devops and excel.
What you'll be doing:
Contributing towards the creation and execution of quality test plans that deliver the required validation of functionality via a risk-based approach to a scheduled release plan across a number of changes.
Working proactively with business and 3rd party testers to ensure coverage across all test stages are adequate.
Delivering effective and timely communication to development and change teams to mitigate release delays.
Providing input into defining the appropriate test approach in collaboration with the Lead Test, ensuring effective test preparation and execution.
Understanding the fundamentals of Business Technology and Agile Transformation within LGMS and translating these into business/people change activities to ensure the requirements are understood and that the test outcomes are of good quality.
Engaging stakeholders and undertaking appropriate testing prior to the implementation of any system or business changes to ensure the impact on internal stakeholders and customers is understood.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
Knowledge of change delivery methodologies and tools desirable along with SME knowledge of mortgage sourcing and property valuation processes, products & services.
A background in analysis, previous test experience and suitable project management, service management, test or agile qualifications is desirable.
