What you’ll do?

The Junior Accounts Assistant will be part of a small finance team with a series of regular finance tasks and responsibilities which will need to be completed on a monthly, weekly & daily basis. General duties include purchase ledger transaction processing, reconciliations, banking & cash management.

You will also:

• Input bank receipts ensuring they are reconciled to customers remittance advice.


• Raising credit notes as authorised by accountant.


• Input non-job-related purchase invoices.


• Download of bank statements daily and post DD/SO accordingly.


• Transfer CSV data issued from location and reconciliation of all purchase ledger statements.


• Resolve P/Ledger queries by closely liaising with suppliers and Bodyshop location.


• Issuing cheques as authorised by MD/Accountant.


• Input and reconciliation of petty cash.


• Monthly reconciliation of cash books.


• Daily postal duties- distribute branch post, frank & post branch mail.


• Scanning and archiving of documents.


• Respond to supplier queries via phone/email etc.


• Assist as required in general accounts office admin.
