Our client, a leading Accountancy Practice based in Wetherby, is passionate about helping small and medium-sized businesses with their accounts and tax services. They pride themselves on their expertise and dedication to providing top-quality financial solutions to their clients.

As a Junior Accountant within Practice, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive financial support to clients, including preparing and analysing financial statements, assisting with tax planning and compliance, and offering valuable financial advice. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and examining financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assisting with tax planning and compliance, ensuring clients meet all regulatory requirements
  • Providing ongoing financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Offering sound financial advice and guidance to clients
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted adviser
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and changes in financial regulations
  • Utilising accounting software, including Xero and Iris, to streamline financial processes

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within Accountancy, although we will accept candidates from Industry
  • An understanding of Xero and Iris is advantageous but not essential as training is provided
  • Understanding of Payroll and VAT Returns
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently
