Job Title: Jira AdministratorSchedule: (M-F) 8:30-5:00 (flexible)Facility location: NH/CT/RemoteSummary: Whelen Engineering, Inc. seeks a skilled and experienced Jira and ConfluenceAdministrator to join our dynamic team. As a Jira and Confluence Administrator, you will becrucial in maintaining, optimizing, and supporting our project management and collaborationtools. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the effective use of Jira andConfluence to streamline workflows, enhance communication, and drive productivity.Duties and Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence cloud instances to meet the needs of different teams and projects.
Customize Jira workflows, schemes, and screens to align with organizational processes and standards.
Manage Jira Service Management for efficient issue tracking and resolution.
Provide service agent support, troubleshoot issues, and offer training to ensure optimal utilization of Jira and Confluence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance the usability and functionality of Jira and Confluence.
Monitor system performance, security, and access controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices related to Jira and
Confluence, and implement changes as necessary.
Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation for Jira and Confluence
processes and configurations.
Identify, recommend, test, and document app Add-Ons or Integrations.
Scope
Ability to work independently and with various teams within the business.
Will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining our Jira and Confluence systems.
Responsible for system availability and support during non-maintenance hours.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work
experience.
In-depth working knowledge of Jira and Confluence administration, including configuration,
customization, and 3rd party application management.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
independently.
Understanding ITIL practices and principles is a plus.
Familiarity with standard Atlassian apps such as ScriptRunner, Github, or BitBucket is a
plus.
Experience with Project Management and/or Scrum is a plus.
