Job Description:
International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Japanese teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Japanese language lessons to adult learners.
Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
Native or Proficient Japanese speaker
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Initial Japanese teaching qualification
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience to groups
Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK
420-hour Japanese language teacher training course or equivalent Japanese teacher training course
QTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Language Education
Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
Possess a CLTA, CELTA, Trinity TESOL, DELTA
Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position. Most lessons are the evening from 18.30 -20.30, once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
