• Venepuncture
• Cannulation
• Use of Syringe Pumps (B-Braun)
• Intravenous Infusion Pumps (B-Braun)
• Assist with CVC/ VAS CATH insertion
• Competent in drug administration (CVC- copy of signed competency document must be within the last 12 months)
• Care of/ Recording Arterial Lines
• Arterial Blood Sampling
• Interpretation of Electrolytes
• Interpretation of Blood Gases
• Recording 12 Lead ECG
• Urine Output
• Care of Invasive Ventilation (Hamilton ventilator)
• Tracheostomy Wound Care
• Effective Communication Skills
• Management of Chest Drains
• Haemodialysis (CVVHDF- Prismax)
• General Medicine
• Management of Sliding Scale Insulin
• Hypo/Hyper Glycemic Reaction
• Care of Asthma
• Basic ECG Rhythmic Recognition
• Barrier Nursing
• Management of Pressure Areas
